إِذَا أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ الْعَبْدَ نَادَى جِبْرِيلَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ فُلاَنًا فَأَحِبَّهُ
“When Allah loves a servant, He calls Jibreel and says: 'I love so-and-so, so love him.' Jibreel loves him, then calls out to the inhabitants of the heavens. They love him, then acceptance is placed for him on earth.”
Al-Wadud's love cascades through creation—when He loves you, all of creation loves you.
Al-Wadud is the One who loves His righteous servants, and they love Him—there is no love more complete, more pure, or more beneficial than the love between Allah and His believing servant.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ حُبَّكَ وَحُبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّكَ وَحُبَّ عَمَلٍ يُقَرِّبُنِي إِلَى حُبِّكَ
Allahumma inni as'aluka hubbaka wa hubba man yuhibbuk wa hubba 'amalin yuqarribuni ila hubbik
“O Allah, I ask You for Your love, the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds that bring me closer to Your love.”
Seek to earn Al-Wadud's love through following the Sunnah.
Show love to Allah's creation as a means to earn His love.
Remember that Al-Wadud's love is not based on what you have, but who you are.
Love what Allah loves and hate what Allah hates.
