Prophetic Traditions
قُولُوا اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
“Say: O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent prayers upon the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.”
Al-Majeed appears in the salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ, connecting His glory to His blessings upon His chosen ones.

Al-Majeed combines the meanings of greatness, generosity, and vastness. His glory is not a static attribute but is actively manifested in His endless giving, mercy, and dominion.
Al-Majeed is the One who is glorious and magnificent in His essence, attributes, and actions. He is glorified and venerated in the hearts of His devoted servants.

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammad kama sallayta 'ala ali Ibrahim innaka Hameedun Majeed
