Prophetic Traditions
اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ قَيِّمُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ الْحَقُّ وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ
“O Allah, to You belongs all praise. You are the Light of the heavens and the earth and all therein. To You belongs all praise. You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all therein. To You belongs all praise. You are the Truth and Your promise is the truth.”
The Prophet ﷺ used this dua in his night prayer (tahajjud), affirming that Allah is Al-Haqq—the absolute Truth.
Scholarly Insights
Al-Haqq is the One whose existence is the most real and certain. Everything else derives its reality from Him. His words are truth, His actions are truth, meeting Him is truth, and His messengers are truth.
Supplications
اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الْحَقُّ وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ وَلِقَاؤُكَ حَقٌّ وَالْجَنَّةُ حَقٌّ وَالنَّارُ حَقٌّ
Allahumma anta al-Haqq wa wa'duka al-Haqq wa liqa'uka Haqq wal-Jannatu Haqq wan-Naru Haqq
“O Allah, You are the Truth, Your promise is the truth, meeting You is truth, Paradise is truth, and the Hellfire is truth.”
Living With This Name

Always speak the truth, even when it is difficult—your Lord is Al-Haqq who loves truthfulness.

When falsehood seems to prevail, trust that Al-Haqq will make the truth manifest.

Seek knowledge sincerely, for truth is the foundation of beneficial knowledge.

Stand firm upon the truth even if you stand alone—Al-Haqq supports those who are truthful.
